FYI Thunderbird does occasionally eat inboxes when it gets itself confused with too many messages being shifted around. Right click on Inbox and select Properties. Thereafter hit Rebuild Inbox and with a bit of luck it should be good as new.

Not wanting to be a wet blanket but why would a netbook be better? It's still windows, after all! Not that we're biased or anything... I grew up with a good proverb, which we've really come to appreciate, 'An apple a day keeps the doctor away!'

One thing that a netbook is good for though: the MTN dongle only has windows drivers, so we use our netbook with the dongle, then this adds as a server for our macs.
